Jauntr ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

1. Who we are

Jauntr is a location-based audio narration service currently in pre-launch. The data controller is Jauntr, contactable at hello@jauntr.io.

2. What data we collect

Currently, the only personal data we collect is:

• Email address — when you join our waitlist via jauntr.io

We do not collect names, payment details, location data, or any other personal information at this stage. When the Jauntr app launches, a separate privacy policy covering in-app data (including location data) will be published.

3. Why we collect it and our legal basis

We collect your email address for one purpose: to notify you when Jauntr launches. Our legal basis for processing this data is consent — you actively signed up and confirmed your email address via a double opt-in process.

We will not use your email address for any other purpose without asking for your permission first.

4. How we store and process your data

Your email address is stored securely with our email marketing provider, Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), who process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Brevo is GDPR-compliant and stores data within the EU. You can read Brevo's privacy policy at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.

Our website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., who may process your IP address and basic server logs when you visit jauntr.io. Netlify's privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.

5. How long we keep your data

We will retain your email address until you unsubscribe, or until Jauntr ceases operations. If you unsubscribe at any point, your data will be removed from our mailing list within 30 days.

6. Cookies

The jauntr.io website does not currently use tracking cookies or analytics. If this changes, we will update this policy and notify waitlist members.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data at any time
• Right to withdraw consent — you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send you
• Right to lodge a complaint — you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk

8. Third-party links

Our website contains links to third-party platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these platforms and encourage you to read their privacy policies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated to waitlist members by email. The latest version will always be available at jauntr.io/privacy.
